When Brumbach was asked how he would like to be remembered, he replied, “I don’t think of myself as being remembered as an artist. I think I would rather be thought of as just a good person. I think of the art part as being a gift that I really don’t have too much to do with. Everybody’s got something to work with. They just have to decide to use it or not.”
D. Brumbach, 1991
David Brumbach (b.1948, d.1992) was a lifelong resident of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. An Honors Graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, he was a part of the uniquely American, Providence art scene during his school years but returned to his beloved Lancaster to establish his art studio. He painted both in the realistic and abstract/ non-objective styles and both were equally accepted, artistically and financially.
