One of Suk Shuglie’s first Acrylic paintings. Stunning piece!
Freiman describes this painting: “The Skaters” was inspired by my background, growing up in Lancaster County in an Amish-Mennonite family. This piece evokes the many magical winters of my childhood, skating under the stars on frozen ponds with friends and neighbors. I used a cubist approach which is informed by Pennsylvania quilting patterns and colors.”
From the Animals In My Sofa series.
